Gospel of Jesus Christ according to Saint Luke 11,1-4.
Now Jesus was praying in a certain place. When he had finished, one of his disciples asked him, “Lord, teach us to pray, as John the Baptist also taught his disciples.”
He answered them, “When you pray, say, ‘Father, hallowed be your name, your kingdom come.’”
Give us the bread we need for each day.
Forgive us our sins, as we forgive everyone who is injurious to us. And lead us not into temptation.

Benevolent Father,
May your name be hallowed in our words and in our lives. May your kingdom come among us: may your justice, your peace, and your mercy take place in our hearts, our families, and our communities.
Give us today the bread we need—the daily bread that sustains our bodies, reassures our minds, and strengthens our faith. Help us recognize and share this gift with those who lack.
Forgive our sins, Lord. Give us a heart capable of forgiving others as you forgive us, so that resentment does not hinder your healing in us. Purify our attitudes, our words, and our actions so that we may be signs of your forgiveness.
Do not lead us into temptation; protect us from the snares that lead us away from you. Give us the strength to resist, the wisdom to discern, and the courage to choose what is good.
Amen.
